Double Down Ice Coffee

ANOTHER REASON TO LOVE SUMMER: DOUBLE DOWN ICE COFFEE.

I love coffee, but I love even ice coffee more!  I can’t wait till the weather is above 70 degrees to go get my first ice coffee of the year.  Yet what I find disturbing is those people drinking ice coffee in February, and my wife who loves coffee but dislikes ice coffee, scary, but a discussion for another day.

The other morning, I had an epiphany. “I have extra coffee, I don’t want to throw it down the drain, let’s freeze it!” Hence, Double Down Ice Coffee was created.  I believe in my subconscious I may have seen this somewhere, but I can’t remember, so I am sorry if this was posted by someone else, but to me I invented this!! lol..

check out recipe: no words necessary (I know contradicts WordPress, lol)

busy

How Hard is it to try to coordinate an event with someone, who is already overwhelmed, while working a double loaded job, while talking to your mom on one ear, and all via text…

How Hard is it not to flip out when you ask a string of questions in a bullet point fashion and still only get a five word response…

How Hard it is to keep your cool, still manage multimillion dollar organization, manage to keep your spouse happy and still get everything done by quitting time..

Hello everybody!

I hope you guys are well.

Today’s post is very special because it’s for my wonderful husband who’s now an official BLACK BELT in JUDO.  He took the Kata test last Saturday with his sensei and passed.  Yesterday evening, he was presented with his black belt at their Judo club.  Congratulations my love!  You worked very hard and you definitely deserve this high honor.  Your love for learning, practicing, and teaching has enabled you to achieve great knowledge of this sport.  May you continue as safely as you can.

We’re very proud of you!

MORNINGS ARE ROUGH

HellaHard

How Hard is it to get up look at your clock it reads “3:54am” to go back to sleep and know you’re only two hours away from starting all over…

How Hard is it to roll out of bed, slide your slippers on and try to shake off the grip of that beautiful other world of dreams and illusions of the unconscious world…

How Hard it is to look out your window as the sunrises over the brick structures and natures landscape and wonder what the day has in store for you, but want to go back to the sleep and say fark it…

WorkoutDrinkbeMerry

Judo_pictogramOn June 8, 2013 the Hudson Yudanshakai held its Kata and Knowledge exam at Tech Judo.  The Kata and Knowledge exam is mandatory part of judo before you can get promoted to a higher rank.  The Kata is something that is talked about in all judo club as sort of this secret.  A secret that only a select few judokas are able to actual do because few judokas stay on long enough to actually get ready to participate in it.

The Nage-no-kata is a series of forms that were selected by Professor Jigaro Kano as a foundation to the multitude of techniques in all of judo.  By being able to complete the kata, you in essence should have the knowledge and the ability to do all the different techniques in judo.  To perform the Nage-no-kata, I say perform because it is like a dance that you practice and practice till you get it right,  you have to…
